Becoming an adolescent was bitter sweet
Not because you had big teeth,
But because you felt you were big,
So you started trying on your mother's wigs
The day when you met that lady they called Mary
Ooh, that day was sooo scary!
Then your mother comes to you all weak in the knees
and says she has to explain about the birds and bees,
The mosquito bites on your chest felt sooo tender
couple months after boys started to recognize your gender
What an emotionally and physically confusing time that was sent
The time I became an adolescent.
